Meeps DC
2104 18th St NW, Washington DC 20009
If you are looking for a fun shop to go to, Meeps is the place for you. This shop contains a variety of both mens and womens vintage clothing and accessories in all kinds of patterns and colors. This is a great place to check out as halloween approaches if you are looking to shop second-hand for costume pieces, or just interested in purchasing unique everyday items for your wardrobe!
Secondi
1702 Connecticut Ave NW, Second Floor, Washington, DC 20009
This shop is a recent discovery. Secondi is located on Connecticut ave and carries a wide range of luxury consignment. This spot carries both new and vintage designer pieces, perfect if you’re shopping for a special occasion. Secondi also frequently updates their instagram @dcsecondi with their newest arrivals in the shop, so if you are looking for something specific give them a follow, and keep yourself updated on their page!
Joint Custody
1530 U St NW, Washington, DC 20009
If you are into true vintage clothing, Joint Custody on U St is a must see. The vibes of this shop are amazing and range from clothing to records. The shop has a great selection of vintage t-shirts, and can often be found for reasonable prices. They also have a website (www.jointcustodydc.com) where you can purchase items as well.
Mint Condition
103 S Saint Asaph St, Alexandria, VA 22314
This shop is a favorite of mine. If you are looking to splurge on a brand-name or second-hand designer piece this is the place to go. The shop is located in charming Old Town Virginia. This shop has been named the D.C. Metro area’s “best consignment store” and is definitely a fun place to check out. The shop sells mainly women’s clothing, but ranges from clothing to accessories. Their shoe collection is definitely worth noting as I've come across amazing designer pairs at discounted prices.
Concept 31/M
3077 M St NW, Washington, DC 20007
This shop is on M street in Georgetown. Although this shop is not second-hand, it does feature a conglomerate of local D.C. designers and sellers. The shop is structured non-traditionally, separated into different sections based on designers. Oftentimes, you are buying hand-made items, making your purchase ethical and sustainable. The items featured at the store can range, from feminine style cardigan sets to vintage inspired dresses. Pricing varies from $50-$100 for most items.
